Sweetgreen is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager, Restaurant Technology to help us shape the future of food by delivering best-in-class technical programs and solutions. As part of our Restaurant Technology team, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing our technology landscape, enabling our business goals, and making scalable, sustainable impact at every level.

ABOUT THE JOB

In this role, you will oversee technical programs in our Restaurant Technology domain, work collaboratively across Engineering, Product Management, and Business Stakeholders to coordinate the delivery of; business transformation initiatives, large-scale roll-out of restaurant hardware, implementation of software solutions in our stores and overseeing integrations in our restaurant domain. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Working with our Head of Retail Technology & VP of Technology to translate our 1-3 year strategic roadmap for our Stores into a detailed 6 month action plan.
  • Developing and managing comprehensive program plans, including schedules, cross-functional dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications e.g to Ops.
  • Building a deep technical understanding of our retail hardware & software architecture and integration points.
  • Working with our Retail Technology, Tech Support and Operators to help coordinate large-scale deployments of in-store hardware
  • Managing some retail vendor relationships (e.g. our Field Technician Provider): to ensure external partners deliver to expectations & follow Sweetgreen SOPs.
  • Act as the connection point between our Restaurants, Sweetgreen Field Support Department and Retail Technology - to continuously improve and refine our restaurant support platform
  • Defining and leading testing and rollout strategies for launches, as well as production incident response and stakeholder communications.
  • Drafting and distributing clear, concise and informative comms (e.g. emails, status update & presentations) to every level of the organization incl. C-Suite, Operator / Field team members & Corp employees

The following skills, experience and abilities will help you be successful in this role: 

  • 6+ years delivering & program managing transformation initiatives as a Technical Program Manager.
  • Experience with restaurant & retail technology hardware and software e.g. Point of Sale, Payment Devices & Gateway, Digital Menu Boards, Kitchen Display Units for Order Routing, In-Store Network Infrastructure etc.
  • Well-versed in Agile methodologies, project management tools, the software development lifecycle, and large-scale program delivery with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience JIRA, Confluence, G-Suite (sheets, slides etc..), ServiceNow highly valued

Starting salary range based on experience
