The Senior Market Planning Analyst will play a critical role in driving the sweetgreen's future growth pipeline.  This position will be fully dedicated to building financial models for all future new stores, new real estate formats, as well as renovations and remodels.  The role will consist of measuring various format options and determining the ideal return on investment based on specific buildout, revenue, and operating assumptions.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting revenue and profit/loss statements for new real estate and/or alternative revenue stream opportunities that support specific market growth strategies
  • Lead ad-hoc research projects to better understand customer behavior, size growth opportunities, and create financial models for new initiatives
  • Conduct spatial analysis for market planning, utilizing ESRI geospatial tools
  • Utilize Sitewise Analytics to model revenue projections for new store opportunities across the U.S.
  • Leverage Sitewise Analytics to assist with market planning roadmap, whitespace analysis, site evaluation, and demo/psycho analysis
  • Analyze competitive trends, provide insight on how various competitive environments affect sweetgreen performance, and manage database of sweetgreen and competitor locations
  • Drive market planning meetings, advise Executive Team on strategic and financial implications of each opportunity
  • Advise Executive Team on strategic initiatives and priorities around 4-wall growth for the Company
  • Prepare market planning meeting presentations that clearly and concisely illustrate the Company’s growth strategy

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. MBA preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in finance, real estate, management consulting or corporate development
  • Experience with detailed sales forecasting and modeling
  • Prior experience with Tableau, ESRI and/or similar geospatial tools
  • Experience data mining in EPM systems such as IBM Planning Analytics and/or Oracle Hyperion Financial Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Restaurant industry or multi-unit experience is preferred
  • Other desired systems experience includes Buxton & Sitewise or other mobile data software program

Skills:

  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of work schedule
Salary range for this role:
Starting salary range based on experience
$100,000$110,000 USD
