2021 Special Bonus

Core Responsibilities                                                                                                   

  • Support sweetgreen expansion into new markets and within existing regions
  • Manage the last-mile distribution of our ingredients to restaurants regionally, including distributor management and resolution of service problems
  • Optimize processes to support daily Logistics operations

2021 - 2022 Goals                                                                                                          

  • Implement a 30/60/90 hypercare plan for new restaurant openings that supports the opening team and new distributor partners.
  • Maintain an average new restaurant opening scorecard goal of 90%+
  • Maintain an average 30 minute first response rate for all supply chain related inquiries from restaurant operators

How to Support our Stores and Increase our Supply Chain Transparency

Support sweetgreen expansion into new markets and within existing regions (50%)

  • Research distributor candidates for new market entry 
  • Drive RFP process by vetting potential candidates on service capabilities, compliance with sweetgreen standards and alignment with our ingredient sourcing ethos
  • Onboard new distributors
  • Coordinate across cross functional partners to complete all Supply Chain deliverables to enable a successful opening. Proactively identify and troubleshoot supply risks
  • Travel to new markets to provide in-person support and training for the Opening team and distributors ahead of launch

Manage the last-mile distribution of our ingredients to restaurants regionally, including distributor management and resolution of service problems (35%)

  • Provide regional support to restaurants by managing distributors and finding lasting solutions to service problems. Distributors include broadline, PVP, linens and waste partners
  • Develop relationships with head coaches and area leaders to provide best in class support for restaurant operations
  • Proactively address distributor service risks ensuring that the right products are in the right locations, at the right times, in the right quality and quantity, at the right price
  • Find the root cause of distribution service issues to develop systemic process updates

Optimize processes to support daily Logistics operations (15%)

  • Evaluate first and last mile freight efficiencies to support 98% fill rate targets. Coordinate across internal and external stakeholders to implement best in class solutions.
  • Utilize performance data metrics to drive continuous systems improvements that support restaurant functions, and distributor compliance of Logistics policies. Ensures Logistics procedures are routinely reviewed and updated for compliance.
  • Create monthly distributor scorecards, provide data insights and guidance on corrective actions with distributors as needed

Desired Traits & Experience

  • Commitment to building a more sustainable food system and creating sustainable sourcing solutions for all key stakeholders: our customers, our community, our distributors, and our company
  • Demonstrate strong creative and analytical problem-solving skills; extremely detail oriented
  • Strong skills related to written and verbal communication, computer literacy, time management, working independently and ability to correctly prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong ability to influence across all levels within the organization
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, operations and/or account management
  • Experience with Arrowstream, Tableau, SalesForce or similar softwares
  • Prior experience managing vendors/distributor relationships strongly preferred
